This Women's WellBeing and the Feminine Arts Gathering will be a Weaving Workshop! Each Weaving Workshop has its own unique flavour and the setting of this one is super special! We will be guests at Michelle and Robs Pecan Farm at Upper Orara where we will be weaving on their front verandah overlooking the Pecan grove. We will also be taking a picnic blanket down to the grove and weave underneath the lime green canopy of pecan leaves. Nature and all her splendour will be a back drop for letting the nervous system return to its true still point while the hand and heart connection synchs up and into the earths rhythms. Within the container of a small group of women, you will learn practical skills and techniques of weaving and have the opportunity to enjoy the companionship of other women. You will learn these skills necessary to weave a coil or dilly bag style basket with native Australian fibres: 1. beginning a basket 2. basic stitch 3. adding in new fibres 4. shaping and finishing the basket 5. collecting and processing native fibres 6. How to dye native fibres with native dye material -------- I wholeheartedly infuse this day with all my passions: *opening and closing the day with a movement meditation *heart share circle for each woman to share her inner experience *basketry tuition -------- Included - Native Fibres to weave one basket Needles and Scissors are available to use for the day Michelle is cooking us a delicious lunch.
